This is a beautiful, 2 ply, high quality 100% Pashmina Shawl, very soft to touch, and warm for cold evenings. It is fully reversible and two tone, having a lighter tone and equally beautiful design on the reverse side. It has intricate paisley and floral patterns in the coloured main body of the shawl. This shawl has a hashia frame border along all four edges, with Kulka Botehs. It has a 4 inch, hand twisted gold fringe at each end. This shawl originates from Akhnur, near Jammu, which is a village in southern Kashmir and is famous for one of the finest ancient collections of terracotta heads, most of which are now held in the Chandigarh museum. This area is also the source of many artistic designs reflected in Pashmina shawls from Akhnur. The colour mixes and patterns in the shawl are stunning – an absolutely gorgeous shawl!
